Exercise for varicose vein

Abstract


Nowadays, a lot of professions and occupation shave spring up where people are required to either stand for a long time or made to sit, hanging down the legs for a considerable time, either jobs day in and day out are the suffers of Varicose vein. Varicose vein is defined as dilated, tortuous, subcutaneous veins ≥3 mm diameter, measuring in upright position. The extrapolated prevalence rate of Varicose vein in India providing warning, i.e., 47, 928, 177 in statistics. Nearly 30–40 % of men and women suffer from varicose vein incident seems to be increasing. Women suffer this disease four times than men. The high prevalence is due to lack of preventive measures. However, even if we are at high risk for vein diseases, there are three principles that we can follow it will help to maintain “healthy vein for life”. They are 3E’ S 1. Exercise 2. Elevation of legs and 3. Elastic compression. Exercises is one of the most preventive and productive measures for varicose vein. Exercise are like walking around 30 minutes on grassy surface, leg lifts, rocking your feet, calf-raises, bi-cycle your legs, toe raise, foam rolling and side leg lifts. It helps to improve blood circulation as well as enhance venous return towards the heart, prevents the risk of varicose vein and strengthened the lower limb muscles so exercise is good for vein health as well as counterproductive.
