A Study to Assess the Knowledge regarding the Hazards of Mobile Phones usage among the B.Sc. Nursing Students College of Nursing, Padmavathi College of Nursing at Dharmapuri

Abstract


Objectives: To assess the knowledge regarding the hazards of mobile phones usage among B.Sc. Nursing students. To determine the association between the knowledge regarding the hazards of mobile phones usage among B.Sc. Nursing students with their selected demographic variables. Research Approach: In this study descriptive research approach was used Design: The research design selected for the present study was Descriptive study design. Setting of the Study: Present study was conducted Padmavathi College of Nursing, Dharmapuri. Subjects: A total of 60 subjects were included in the study. Sampling technique: Present study was conducted by using probability sampling technique with lottery method. Findings: 70% of the subjects had adequate knowledge and 30% of them had inadequate knowledge. Conclusions: The following conclusions were drawn from many of the subjects had adequate knowledge hazards of mobile phones. Majority of the subjects belonged to the age group of above 20 years. Majority of the subjects already had source of information through Medias. Study reveals that 55% of female subjects have adequate knowledge.
