Knowledge Regarding Home Care of Epilepsy Among Family Members of Client With Epilepsy

Abstract

Epilepsy is one of the oldest diseases known to human beings. Epilepsy is the general systemic conditions that affect people of all ages, in which seizures most commonly occur in children due to hypoxia or high fever. A family history of epilepsy seems to increase the risk of developing the condition. Males have a higher risk than females for developing epilepsy. Overall it is the most common serious brain disorder worldwide with no age, racial, social class, national or geographic boundaries. Pre-test and post-test research design with experimental and control group design includes manipulation, control group and no randomization. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample.
