Abstract

Mind mapping is a powerful graphic technique which can be used to translate what is in one’s mind into a visual picture. Since mind mapping works like a brain, it allows organising and understanding information faster and better. It helps in better logical organisation of knowledge as well as help to retain it. In order to assess the effectiveness of mind mapping on teaching learning technique, this study was undertaken based on pre experimental one group pre-test and post-test design with convenient sampling of 48 B.Sc. Nursing fourth year students. In result analysis, Mean, S.D. and ‘t’ values were computed, and it revealed that the mind mapping technique is more effective. The P<0.001 shows the effectiveness of mind mapping technique and its significant association. Therefore, it is suggested to impart mind mapping technique to nursing students which would in turn enhance their academic as well as clinical efficiency.
