Beutlin Robert, Mrs. Murshidha

Abstract

As the face of health care changes, so do the roles and opportunities for today’s nurse leaders. With that evolution, new roles emerge and provide fertile ground for nurses to apply their skills in different ways. A descriptive study was done to assess the knowledge regarding career opportunities among final year nursing students studying at The Salvation Army Catherine Booth College of Nursing. 50 students studying in final year were selected conveniently. Their knowledge level was assessed by structured questionnaire. It was found that 32% had adequate knowledge and 44% had moderate knowledge and 24% had poor knowledge. There was significant relationship between knowledge and selected demographic variables.
