Knowledge of Cervical Cancer Among Females

Cervical cancer is cancer of the cervix i.e. the opening of the uterus, extending into the upper end of the vagina. According to international agency for research on cancer (IARL), India has the highest number of cervical cancer cases in the world. There are an estimated 132,000 new cases and 74,000 deaths each year which occur due to cervical cancer, its causes and the screening program can help in reduction of morbidity and mortality in females of reproductive age.
