Assess the Effectiveness of Informational Booklet of Knowledge Regarding Hypertension and its Lifestyle Modification Among the Hypertension Patients

Abstract


Hypertension is an important medical and public health problem. Blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood against the wall of the blood vessels. The objective was to assess the knowledge regarding hypertension and its lifestyle modification among hypertensive patients. Evaluative approach was used in the study. Purposive sampling technique was adopted and structured questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge regarding hypertension and its lifestyle modification among hypertensive patients. In the community, health status is the combination of health measure for all individuals living in the community. So, as a community health nurse, lifestyle modification of hypertension among hypertensive patients plays an important role in promoting the health of an individual.
