Community Survey Report: Savargaon Village, Maharashtra

Abstract


As a part of curriculum of final year B.Sc. Nursing, The students (n=24) who had completed 135 hours of Clinical requirement of Community Health Nursing subject of S.N.D College of nursing were posted to Savargaon under the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Area for conducting Community survey report. The groups were divided and allotted in various departments and home settings. During the entire posting 115 houses were covered to assess the knowledge regarding the administration of Rural Family Welfare Centre, Anganwadi, School Health Programme, various National and State Health programmes and attended camp. The survey was carried out on various aspects of the mentioned village PHC, such as Demographic characteristic of about 608 families, with 3130 total population. There were 52.93% of Males, Females about 47.07%, under-five 13.07% and Geriatrics 16.05%. Majority of the family belongs to Nuclear 76.04% and remaining 24.06% were of Joint family.
