Current Trends in Medical Surgical Nursing

Abstract


Nursing has been called arts and science of the profession. It is also known as the oldest art and youngest of the profession. Art stating nurses to learn more knowledge, idea and concept related to actual life” but science stated with systematic process with principles, ethics and rules to followed the concept of the knowledge. There is a rapid development in the society. There are changes in technology, knowledge explosion and the increased and complex health care demands challenge the nurse’s knowledge, technical competence interpersonal skills and commitment. In ancient times, when medical was associated with good or evil spirits, the sick were usually care at temples and houses of worship. But now the trend analysis and future scenarios provide a basis for good decision making many good reputed hospital, primary health center, sub centre camping were set up and many of the health awareness program has also services to the public. The most essential aim of the nurses is promotion of health prevention of disease. The WHO has been considering the future and predicts that by 2000 the world experiences of growth and development in nursing profession.
