Lean Six Sigma Concept in Health Care Setting: Towards Quality Improvement and Patient Satisfaction
Abstract
The health care industry is one of the growing industries all over the world. A health care setting is the
one where the patient is treated physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. The patient should get
satisfaction by quality treatment in the hospital. There are many quality improvement ideas to adopt
but the Six Sigma concept for quality improvement and patient satisfaction is one of the greatest ideas
for betterment. This concept will reduce the error in diagnosing and treatment of the disease condition,
improve the quality of care, and reduce the waste and long waiting time for the doctors’ and nurses’
care. It is better to adopt the Six Sigma concept in every hospital management setting for the betterment
of mankind.
