A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Integrated Teaching Strategy on Knowledge Regarding Stem Cells and Bone Marrow Transplantation with The Nursing Considerations among Staff Nurses
Abstract
Aim: The present study aims to assess the knowledge regarding stem cells and bone marrow transplantation with nursing considerations among staff nurses before and after the implementation of Integrated Teaching Strategy (ITS). Materials and Methods: An evaluative approach was adopted for the study with pre-experimental approach one group pre-test and post-test design. A total of 40 staff nurses were selected by using nonprobability convenience sampling, after considering inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was collected using structured knowledge questionnaires and Sociodemographic proforma, and was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The results of the study revealed that mean pre-test score was 15.6 and standard deviation was +11.57 whereas the mean post-test score was 22.37 and standard deviation was +11.72. There was no significant association between the pre-test knowledge scores and the selected socio-demographic variables. Conclusion: Thus, the study concluded that Integrated Teaching Strategy (ITS) was effective in enhancing the knowledge of staff nurses regarding stem cells and bone marrow transplantation with nursing considerations among staff nurses.References
