Case study on ovarian torsion in pregnancy

A 22 year old multigravida, thirteen weeks of gestational age presenting with torsion of the right ovarian cyst. She visited to the antenatal clinic with right side lower acute pain abdomen. She was diagnosed to have torsion of ovarian cyst during pregnancy and a cystectomy was carried out. Her histopathology report showed a benign serous cyst adenoma. Her pregnancy was followed up. She had a healthy alive girl baby under full term normal vaginal delivery. Although the safety of ante partum surgical intervention has been accepted.References
