A Study to Assess the Knowledge Regarding National Early Warning Score among Staff Nurses in Selected Hospital, Neyyoor, Kanyakumari District

Abstract


Aim: The study aimed to assess the knowledge regarding National early warning score among staff nurses in selected hospital, Neyyoor, Kanyakumari District. Materials and Methods: The type of study design chosen was descriptive. The study was conducted among staff nurses in CSI Mission Hospital, Neyyoor. By using a practical sampling technique, 30 samples were chosen. Investigator developed a structured knowledge questionnaire comprising of 30 multiple choice questions for data collection. Statistics, both descriptive and inferential, were used to analyse the data. Results: According to the study's findings, none of the samples had adequate understanding of NEWS, while 3% of the samples had fairly adequate knowledge. Conclusion:Since majority of samples have inadequate knowledge, the researcher was interested to educate them and planned to provide self-Instructional module.
