Abstract

Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), also called as coronary artery bypass surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting surgery and routinely it is called as heart bypass or bypass surgery, is a surgical procedure to restore normal blood flow to an obstructed coronary artery. Age older than 70 years, Smoking, hypercholesterolemia and positive family history for coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, one-vessel disease, two-vessel disease, triple-vessel disease, impaired left-ventricular function, poor heart muscle function, disease obstructing the left main coronary artery, chronic lung disease, and chronic kidney failure. Cigarette smoking, sedentary life style, eating oily food or junk food, obesity, excessive alcohol these are some risk factors for the coronary artery disease.
