Abstract

A quasi experimental design with pre and post-test without control group approach was undertaken in selected Hospital, Gujarat. Data was collected from 112 mothers to assess the knowledge regarding vaccine preventable disease. Findings revealed that the overall mean knowledge score of mothers during pre-test was 13.88±3.51 which is 33.84% revealing poor knowledge, whereas in post-test the mean was 27.12±3.89 which is 66.14% of the total score revealing good knowledge. The overall mean difference was 32.3% which shows that structured teaching programme was effective in improving the knowledge of mothers regarding vaccine preventable disease.
