Autoimmune Disorders: A Review

Abstract


Autoimmune diseases are diseases in which immune system attacks healthy cells of the body. The basic function of the immune system is to protect us from diseases but during autoimmune diseases many parts of the body like joints, muscles, skin, red blood cells, blood vessels, connective tissue, endocrine glands are affected. More than 80 types of autoimmune diseases are found till date and most of them show similar symptoms. The Main sign of an autoimmune disease is Fever, fatigue, general malaise, inflammation, which can cause redness, heat, pain and swelling. Autoimmune are treated by medical interventions, alternative therapies, etc.
