Nursing Practice in Cartridge-based Nucleic Acid Amplification Test

Shivanand Kore

Abstract

Nurse plays an important role in maintaining health and quality life of people, and also contributes to achieve sustainable development goals. It is also increasingly recognized as the quality & and safety-related performance in health care area. Registered nurses have always been crucial members of the diagnostic team, , Specific specifically test for diagnosis of Tuberculosis (TB) which is one of the most prevalent infectious diseases in India with high mortality. In 2021, globally, 1.2 million children were suffering with TB. Health care professionals sometimes ignore child and adolescent tuberculosis, which can be challenging to identify and treat. The CB-NAAT test is currently offered across all of India. In December 2010, WHO endorsed the GenexpertGeneXpert technology and released a recommendation & and guidance for countries to incorporate the new test into their programs, CB-NAAT test is called GenexpertGeneXpert in most countries outside India. Whenever Rif (Rifampicin) Resistant result is reported on Rapid molecular test (CBNAAT), further management should be carried out as per the guidelines on Drug Resistant TB. For unusual circumstances, such as HIV, malnourished populations, or when a rapid molecular test is not possible, a smear examination may be performed, the rapid molecular test must be repeated. If the results are indeterminate, invalid, error, or no result, a second CBNAAT will be performed to obtain a valid result. If the results are indeterminate on both occasions, a second specimen will be collected and submitted to the closest Intermediate Reference Laboratory. The CBNAAT is an ineffective follow-up technique for tracking the progression of the illness. The purpose of CBNAAT is to collect and deliver sputum samples to the closest CBNAAT facility.
