Abstract


Statement of the Problem: “A research investigation aimed at evaluating the impact of Soybean consumption among women aged 45–56 on menopausal symptoms in a chosen residential area, Ranpise Nagar, Sawantwadi, in the Akola district.” Objectives of the Study: 1. To assess the menopausal symptoms among women between 45–56 yrs in selected community area, ranpise nagar sawantwadi, akola dist. 2. To evaluate the effectiveness of soya bean consumption amoung women between 45–56 yrs in selected community area, ranpise nagar, sawantwadi, akola dist. 3. To find the association between pre-test menopausal symptoms and effect of soyabean consumption amoung womens in selected community area, Ranpise Nagar Akola Dist. Kenny’s Open System Model: The study is grounded in Kenny's Open System Model, which posits that all living systems are open, involving ongoing exchanges of matter, energy, and information. Research Approach: Experimental research is typically employed when the main aim is to assess how well a specific procedure aligns with its intended outcome. Research Design: Taking into account the factors mentioned above and the time available for data collection, this study employed a quasi-experimental design. Variables Under the Study: It represents a characteristic of an individual or object that can assume different values, including the Independent variable, Dependent variable, and Extraneous variable. Research Setting: The study was conducted in rapise nagar community, Akola This village is situated at a distance of 8 kms from Samarth Nursing College of nursing, Akola. Population Target Population: In this investigation, the focus group consists of women aged 45–56 who are experiencing menopausal symptoms within the same age range. Accessible population In this study, the accessible population comprises of women between 45–56 years with menopausal symptoms in ranpise nagar, Akola community, Akola. Sample size for the present study was 40 women with menopausal symptoms between 45–56 years. & convenient sampling technique. Sampling Criteria; Inclusion Criteria who are having menopausal symptoms between the ages 45–56 yrs from a selected. Exclusion Criteria: data collection who are on only hormonal treatment. Description of the Tool; Demographic variable Performa & Menopausal Rating Scale (Heinemann 2003). Reliability The score ‘r’ was found to be 0.89 which showed highly positive correlation. The data collection was done for 6 weeks. The acquired data was examined through descriptive and inferential statistical methods to fulfill the study's objectives. Results:Most of the subjects in control group (55%) and experimental group (75%) had age of menarche between 11–15 years. The observed distinction was highly significant at the 0.05 level and can be attributed to the efficacy of consuming soybeans. Consequently, the null hypothesis Ho1 is rejected. In the Experimental group, the post-test menopausal symptom scores exhibited a low mean and standard deviation. There was a noteworthy correlation between dietary patterns and post-test menopausal symptoms in the Experimental group. Nevertheless, this difference did not achieve statistical significance at the 0.05 level. Recommendation: An investigation could be undertaken to assess the comparative efficacy of soy-based interventions versus hormonal replacement therapy in menopausal women.
