Cat Bite Emergency

Milijan Sesar, Siniša Franjić

Abstract

It is probably hard for cats’ owner to accept that these pet animals can be dangerous when they show canines. Although a cat bite is considered a minor injury, it can also lead to infection, as cats in the mouth have many bacteria that are dangerous to humans. While a domestic cat bite may seem harmless as it is not a street cat, it can also cause health problems. Although much rarer than dogs, cat bites are easier to infect than dogs because cats have thinner, sharper teeth that push bacteria deeper into the skin and can reach to the wrists.
