Anxiety Level of High School Students In Online Learning in Kendal, Central Java, Indonesia

Abstract


COVID-19 has suddenly changed everyday life, where the learning system, which is usually done face-to-face, either in the school environment or in the practice area, has turned online. This method is almost applied throughout the world, including Indonesia. The advantage of this method is that the learning process is no longer limited by time and space. The online learning process causes students to experience anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety of high school students in online learning in Kendal, Central Java, Indonesia. Quantitative research has been conducted with a descriptive approach. The sample of this research is high school students in Kendal, Central Java, Indonesia with a sample size of 70 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire that has been published in google form. Data were analyzed univariately using a frequency distribution. The results showed that 82.9% of students carrying out online learning were 16 years old, female, and experienced mild anxiety due to school work. while the efforts made to overcome anxiety are playing social media.
