Parental expectation and level of stress among adolescents

Abstract


A quantitative, non-experimental correlational research design was considered based on conceptual framework. Non-probability purposive sampling technique was used for collecting 30 samples. The data were collected by using socio-demographic performa, standardized questionnaire and standardized stress scale. Data were analyzed and interpreted by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result and conclusion: 50% students have mild stress and 70% parents have severe expectation. The conclusion of the study was that there is a significant correlation between parental expectation and level of stress among adolescents.
