Abstract

Background: In general, stress and anxiety are more common in adolescents. Since adolescents are at a developmental stage between childhood and adulthood, they encounter a range of difficulties and tensions. The high expectations of parents and instructors in terms of grades and academic achievement can place an additional mental weight on kids, which can generally lead to numerous physical or mental diseases if not handled appropriately. Aim: The objective of the present study was to assess the psychological well-being of adolescents attending specific schools in Puducherry. Methodology: The study used a quantitative descriptive survey research approach. A total of 240 teenagers made up the total sample that was chosen utilizing the convenience sampling technique. To gather information, the researchers assessed the sociodemographic traits of the participants and examined their mental well-being using the Mental Health Continuum – Short Form ScaleResults: The study's findings showed that 69.2% of teenagers had moderate levels of mental health.
