A Perfect Day at Work: Workplace Etiquette for Nurses

Abstract


Nursing is characterized by professional relationships among different people in numerous settings.
Nurses being an important member of the health team need to work in co-operation and harmony for
the care of the sick. Professional etiquette helps to polish the communication skills and strengthen
relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. Mastering proper etiquette skill will endear the
nurses to the patients, fosters confidence in co-workers and to impress the superiors. This article
presents some tips for improving the workplace etiquette among nurses.
