ABSTRACT

Background Information: Family planning program regulates the number and spacing of children in families through the use of contraceptives. Lack of knowledge about contraception methods and concerns to the adaption of family planning is a way of thinking and living that is adopted voluntarily upon the basis of knowledge, attitude, by couples in
order to promote the health and welfare of the family group. Methods: The study was descriptive cross-sectional and community-based. A total of 44 females in Almangil in April 2016 using a questionnaire. Result: About 88.64% heard of family planning and the most important source of information from (29.55%) doctors and mothers and 59.9 have
knowledge about the side effect of planning. Conclusion: The most important statistical significant demographics related to use of contraceptives was age, education, number of children, and attitude towards contraceptives. Fear of complication or side effects (59.091%)
was the most common reason related to against contraceptive and most common of women with contraceptive uses it for its benefits (40.9%).
