Data collection tool: A structured knowledge questionnaire was used to collect data from the subjects. Data analysis: The obtained data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics and interpreted in terms of objectives and hypothesis of this study. The level of significance was set at 0.05 levels. Result: In the pretest the subjects had inadequate knowledge with a mean of 36.8% and standard deviation of 3.18 where as in posttest there was a significant mean knowledge gain of 66.2% and a standard deviation of 6.40. All demographic variables have shown a non-significant association (P< 0.05) with the mean pretest knowledge score, such as age (χ2 =3.455)1df, gender (χ2= 0.020)1df, educational qualification (χ2= 4.501)4df, residence (χ2= 3.404)2df, religion (χ2= 1.058)2df, source of information (χ2 =1.235)3df,family income(χ2= 4.033)4df, Media facility(χ2= 0.202)2df, and hours of utilization of Media(χ2= 1.158)3df.
