Effectiveness of Chromotherapy on Level of Depression among head and Neck Cancer Patients

Abstract


A study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of chromo therapy on level depression among head and neck cancer patients in selected hospital at Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. Twenty samples have fulfilled the criteria were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Pre- and posttest level of depression was assessed by using Beck depression inventory. Chromotherapy was administered 20 minutes per day, three sessions per week for a period of one month. The ‘t’ value of depression was 21.36, which was significant at p< 0.05 level. The result of the study revealed that chromo therapy was effective in reducing the level of depression among head and neck cancer patients.
