Orthopaedic Nursing, a beginning

Abstract


Nursing plays an important role in our life. The practitioners of this profession have changed the sufferings of people into blessings. Nursing professionals, though lack backing from government and higher ups, but still it is growing at slow and steady pace. The latest is the emergence of orthopaedic nursing. This can be studied by those who are interested in alleviating sufferings of people suffering from musculoskeletal ailments. INC offers this programme by incorporating it in MSc Medical Surgical Nursing at various nursing colleges of India. This brings laurels for patients and nursing practitioners as well. The ultimate aim is prevention of musculoskeletal diseases, promotion of musculoskeletal health, protection of musculoskeletal health, diagnosis of musculoskeletal diseases, treatment and cure of musculoskeletal ailments. The independent practice by nursing practitioners attains the centrality in this concept.
