A Study to Assess the Relationship of Infant Temperament and Parent-Child Bonding in Selected Hospital at Kanyakumari District

Abstract


The Parent-Child Relationship is one that endows physical, emotional and endemic blooming of a child. It is an unique bond that every child and parent can relish. Present study aims to assess the relationship of Infant temperament and Parent-Child Bonding. The objectives of this study is assess the parent-child bonding and to determines the relationship between Infant temperament and parent-child bonding. The research approach adopted for the study is Non-experimental approach to correlate Infant temperament and Parent-Child Bonding. The target population for the study is Mothers of 0-1 year child. This study exhibits sampling techniques and exemplifies 100 mothers of 0-1 year infants from CSI Medical Mission Hospital, Kanyakumari district. The result reveals that relation between Infant Temperament and Parent-Child Bonding. Hence, the research hypothesis (H1) is accepted and there is a positive relationship between infant Temperament and Parent-Child Bonding. This study pictures the importance of education for parents of infant and improves their knowledge regarding behavioural development of the child through parent child bonding.
