Effectiveness of Video Assisted Teaching on Knowledge Regarding Child Rights Among School Children

Abstract


A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of video assisted teaching on knowledge regarding child rights among school children in selected school in Ernakulam District, Kerala the objectives of the study were to evaluate the effectiveness of video assisted teaching programme on knowledge regarding child rights among school children and to find the association with knowledge score and selected demographic variables. The tools used to collect the data were Tool 1: Demographic Performa and Tool 2: Questionnaire to assess the knowledge on child rights. Permission from the authorities was obtained and data collection was done among 32 high school children in selected school in Ernakulam District. The data analysis was done using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result found out that there is significant difference in the pre-test knowledge and post-test knowledge score of the school children on child rights. The intervention was found to be effective.
