Method of Pessary Insertion

Abstract


A pessary is a device. It can insert into vagina to support its internal organ. Patients with prolapsed who are asymptomatic do not require treatment, but symptomatic patients need to surgery it can help to control symptoms until surgery is performed. Patients will need to order from the manufacturer a set of fitting rings, which are sterilized between patients. The visit includes fitting the pessary, the patient having try it temporarily, rechecking the fitting and ordering the device.
