Assess the concerns of pregnant mothers during Covid 19 pandemic in Kerala

Abstract


The present study was conducted to assess the concerns of pregnant mothers during Covid 19 pandemic in Kerala. The objectives were assessing the concern of the mothers during Covid pandemic and to find out the association between concerns of the mothers during Covid pandemic and selected socio personal variables. Methods: The study was conducted among 33 pregnant mothers using questionnaire and check list to assess the concerns of the mothers. The data collection process was completed by using Gmail and other social media. Results: The study result shows that 51.51% sample have good knowledge and positive concern to overcome the crisis during Covid pandemic, 21.21% sample have very good knowledge, 18.18% sample have fair knowledge and 9.09% sample have average. There is no significant association between any of the socio personal variables identified in this study. COVID-19 is a novel type of the coronavirus family with an incompletely described clinical course, especially for vulnerable populations including pregnant women
