Nurses as Frontline Healthcare Workers in COVID-19 Pandemic
Abstract
Response to any outbreak demands outstanding effort from the frontline workers, which also puts them at risk of infection from outbreak pathogen. Nurses constitutes an important force of frontline workers active in management of COVID-19 and this cadre needs special attention from the health care managers in terms of health and occupational safety. This study highlights the role and responsibilities of nurses and health workers, including specific measures needed to protect occupational safety and health.
