A study to assess attitude and perceptions towards COVID-19 vaccination among general public .Kamrup (R),Assam

Abstract


Coronavirus disease (COVID‐19) is a deadly disease which continues to affect many countries in the world. Vaccines are the most important public health measure and most effective strategy to protect the population from preventable diseases.The study is based on to assess attitude and perceptions towards COVID-19 vaccination among general public .Kamrup (R),Assam. Quantitative descriptive design was used for this study. Total 100 nursing students were selected through convenient sampling technique. Interview technique was used to collect data from the samples. Result of the study showed that49(49%) of people had positive and 51(51%) had negative attitude towards COVID-19 vaccination. Attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccination among general public was insignificantly associated with age(p=.954.),sex(p=.286), marital status (p=.849),  religion(p=.850),educational qualification(p=.921), monthly family income(p=.953), occupation(p=.329) and vaccination received(p-.917).
