Conceptual Framework: Goal setting theory; Effectiveness of Blended educational strategy among nursing students on significance of Simulation

Ananda kudari

Abstract

Background: In this study the researchers designed conceptual framework to project an organizing structure for the study project to direct, develop and test of hypotheses and to place research finding within the context of science. Selection of an appropriate and useful framework is an essential step in the development of a research project.

Aim: of this paper is to discuss the use of the Dr. Edwin Locke and Dr. Gary Latham goal setting theory to guide the research project work to see the effectiveness of the blended educational strategy on simulation and its advantages in nursing education among student nurses.

Method: A descriptive strategy is used to represent the elements of the theoretical model and details of the configuration of the study intervention, feedback and final outcome with the conceptual framework.

Findings: The Dr. Edwin Locke and Dr. Gary Latham goal setting theory gives an executive framework for this research project investigation. The five inter related elements of the theory of goal setting guides the development of the blended educational strategy, the selection of appropriate tool to measure the study variables and also this framework gives a useful method of interpretation and data analysis and finally direct to identification of outcomes for nursing students after an intervention.

Result: With help of nursing theory we can apply to the research and in turns it guides the researcher in further process towards to meeting selected objectives of the research study.

Conclusion: The use of an appropriate and particular theoretical and conceptual model facilitates the study design and testing of theory based interventions and the development of science to support nursing education system.
