The cells that coat the cervix, the lowest portion of the uterus, are where cervical cancer first develops. Disease begins when strong cells on the external layer of the cervix change or get contaminated with human papilloma infection and grow out of control, shaping a mass called tumor. The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge regarding cervical cancer among women of age group between 25-45 years in selected areas of Punjab. To perform the study, a non-experimental research design was used. Purposive sampling technique was utilized to choose 120 subjects from population to assess the knowledge regarding cervical cancer. Data were evaluated using a self-structured questionnaire. The findings of study showed that 83(70%) of subjects had average knowledge followed by 37(30%) of subjects had poor knowledge and not a solitary one of them had great information. Thus it was presumed that the maximum women had average knowledge regarding cervical cancer.
Rachna GillPrabhjeet Kaur

https://nursing.journalspub.info/index.php?journal=ijmsun&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=2377

Introduction: Chronic Renal Failure refers to a gradual and irreversible decline in renal function, leading to the body's inability to sustain metabolic, fluid, and electrolyte balance. This condition results in uremia, necessitating the reliance on hemodialysis to maintain internal equilibrium and prevent uremia. In the initial phases of renal impairment, symptoms may be alleviated through hemodialysis, monitoring fluid intake, dietary regulation, and medication use. However, as renal function deteriorates, these interventions become inadequate. So Chronic Renal Failure Patients should have knowledge regarding home care management of AV fistula to reduce complications. Objectives of the study: To evaluate the initial and final comprehension levels regarding the management of arterio-venous fistula in the context of home care among chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Nephrology unit in Pt. B. D. Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak. To evaluate the effectiveness of the nurse led intervention on home care management of arterio-venous fistula among chronic renal failure patients undergoing for hemodialysis in Nephrology unit at Pt. B. D. Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak. To determine association between Pre test knowledge score with selected socio-demographic variables among chronic renal failure patients undergoing for hemodialysis in Nephrology unit at Pt. B. D. Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak. Material and Method: The research employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing a pre-experimental design involving a single group with both pre and post-test assessments. Non-probability convenience sampling was employed for sample selection. A structured interview knowledge questionnaire was utilized to evaluate subjects' knowledge concerning arterio-venous fistula home care management. The data analysis involved descriptive statistics (Mean, Mean Difference, Standard Deviation) and inferential statistics (Paired t-test). In Pre-test 53% of subjects had average knowledge, 40% subjects had inadequate knowledge and 7% subjects had adequate knowledge. But after introducing the nurse led intervention the posttest knowledge score 85% were having adequate knowledge and 15% were having average knowledge and none of subjects had inadequate knowledge. Hence, the nurse-led intervention proved to be successful. Conclusion: The study conclude that nurse led intervention was effective in improving knowledge regarding home care management of arterio-venous fistula among chronic renal failure patients undergoing for hemodialysis.
Sweety .Kavita ChoudharyShaveta .

https://nursing.journalspub.info/index.php?journal=ijmsun&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=2378

Introduction: Individuals with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) experience substantial physical limitations, leading to notable physiological distress and a decline in their overall well-being. The Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease characterizes COPD as persistent airflow restriction that is generally not entirely reversible. It typically progresses and is linked to an abnormal inflammatory reaction in the lungs triggered by harmful particles or gases. Materials and method: The research employed a quasi-experimental design incorporating pre-test and post-test control groups, and Morge Hospital in Shrirampur, Ahmednagar, was chosen for both the control and experimental groups. The sample consisted of 30 COPD-diagnosed patients from Tupe Hospital in Shrirampur, with 30 patients allocated to the pretest group and 30 to the posttest group. Sample selection was based on inclusion criteria and employed non-probability convenient sampling. Patients The gathered data underwent analysis using both descriptive and inferential statistics, employing methods such as a master sheet for data organization. The comparison between pretest and posttest knowledge revealed a pretest percentage of 90% and 41%, with posttest percentage at 25.33%. The overall effectiveness percentage was determined to be 33.23%. The paired 'T' value for the comparison of pretest and posttest knowledge regarding pulmonary rehabilitation techniques was calculated as 5.29. Conclusion: The study findings indicated a statistically significant variance in the health well-being of COPD patients between the Pretest and Posttest groups. The conclusion drawn from the study is that the chosen pulmonary rehabilitation program, encompassing respiratory muscle exercise, muscle strengthening, and smoking cessation, exhibited significant efficacy in enhancing the health well-being of COPD patients. Therefore, it is evident that health well-being improved in the posttest group following the implementation of the pulmonary rehabilitation program for COPD patients.
Onkar ShindeAkash SonawaneMaroti RathodAjay DaradeAnjali PawarSandesh Suresh Shirsath

https://nursing.journalspub.info/index.php?journal=ijmsun&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=2379

Introduction and objectives of the study: Today's medical profession faces the "ice berg" disease of diabetes mellitus in India, the "Diabetic Capital of the World". Globally, diabetes is one of the biggest public health issues of the 21st century. It is expected that 578 million people would have diabetes by 2030 and 700 million by 2045. Foot ulcers are the scariest diabetic complication. Up to 25% of diabetics get foot ulcers. Fifteen percent of diabetic Indians are from North-Eastern India. Diabetes foot ulcers impact 15% of Tripura's diabetics. The researcher picked this topic because she feels that educating and inspiring diabetics to prevent foot ulcers will have the biggest impact. Objectives of the study are as: (i) To measure current understanding and perspective on diabetic foot ulcer prevention among people with diabetes. (ii) To assess how well a self-guided learning module prepares patients to prevent diabetic foot ulcers by gauging participants' levels of knowledge and commitment to the cause. (iii) To determine which demographic factors are correlated with the amount of prior knowledge possessed. Methodology: This study used a pre-experimental strategy, one-group pre-test and post-test designs, all of which were non-probability purposive sampling techniques. Two randomly selected Agartala diabetes clinics were used for the study. The sample was drawn from selected diabetes clinics in Agartala, and it consisted of 50 pre-test participants and 50 post-test participants. Non-probability purposive sampling was utilised to choose a sample of diabetic patients with varying demographic features who had diabetes foot ulcers, and total enumeration was employed to select the patients who met the study's inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Key findings showed that 68% of participants were 45 or older, 56% were city inhabitants, 54% were male, and 40% had been unwell for five years. The paired 't' test showed that the post-exam mean knowledge score (18.50) was significantly higher than the pre-exam mean (9.80) at.05. According to a paired test, the mean attitude score (88.3) before and after the test (76.02) differs significantly at the 0.05 level. Conclusions: The chi-square test shows that pre-test knowledge score is substantially connected with years of diabetes mellitus incidence and education. Thus, self-instructional modules are a great way to share diabetic foot ulcer prevention information.
Shipra Rani PaulMousumi DebnathDebi Chakrabarti
