A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Video Assisted Program on Breast Self-Examination among Selected Age Group of Women at A. Rangampet, Tirupati, A.P, India

Abstract


The aim of the present study was to assess the knowledge regarding Breast Self Examination among 74 women. The comparison of pre-test and post- test parameters showed significant improvement of knowledge regarding Breast Self-Examination after administering video assisted Programme. In pre-test S.D and mean of women is 3.4 and 11.094.In post-test S.D and mean of women is 3.8877 and 24.81.Compared in the pre-test and post test knowledge on Breast self examination of women had increased to 55%.In pre-test the knowledge of women is very close, in the post-test the women knowledge is not in closed .The class interval in pre-test is 11.094± 6.664.The class interval in post-test is 24.81± 7.619. Thus, it can be concluded that video assisted program on Breast Self Examination is effective in increasing knowledge of women.
