A Descriptive Study to Assess the Burnout Syndrome among Staff Nurses in Selected Hospital at Jammu

Abstract


In this study a quantitative nonexperimental descriptive research design was used to collect the 100
samples by convenience sampling. The data was collected by using standardized questionnaires. The
level of burnout syndrome was assessed among staff nurses by using standardized burnout
questionnaires. The responses were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result of
this study reveals that 8% of staff nurses were doing fine, 16% of staff nurses showed stress, 44% staff
nurses were a candidate for burning out, 29% staff nurses were burnout and 3% staff nurses were in
dangerous zone.
