Knowledge on Ill Effects of Obesity among Adolescent Girls

Abstract


Obesity is when our body weight is above normal. It can result in a lot of damage in all systems of our
body. Combined with obesity, comorbid diseases may lead to poor health. Adolescent girls with
obesity have higher chances of developing a range of serious medical issues. It can lead to a poor
quality of life, disability, or early complication. Even they are at high risk of cardiovascular diseases
in adulthood. Over 1.5 million adolescents and young adults aged 10–24 years died in 2019, nearly
5000 every day. Survival chances for adolescents vary greatly across the world. These adolescent
girls had adequate knowledge on ill effects of obesity but not having mental health towards keep up in
their life. Self-instructional module will help them to adapt the measures to prevent further
consequences in their life.
