Preterm Babies Breastfeeding Practices, Challenges and Relevant Supports
Abstract
Breast feeding is an ideal feeding approach for babies including preterm babies who are born before 37 completed weeks of gestation. Mothers of preterm babies face some challenges that impact on their practice of breastfeeding their babies which may be physiological, psychological, sociological and epidemiological in nature. Thus, these mothers need supports from neonatal intensive care unit nurses, policy makers and the community at large.References
