Abstract

Acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema is a life-threatening condition and is the common cause of acute respiratory failure which warrants emergency treatment. Mrs. Ammini 62 years admitted in a tertiary care hospital with clinical manifestations of acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema. The purpose of this study was to identify the background factors and to explore nurses competency in the management of a patient with acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
